Roover — where the old trade meets the new world

The old
trade.

The new
world.

Roover is where they meet. The part in the middle was missing. We make it.

The roof
a ladder before breakfast
a tape and a good guess
two hours’ driving, ten minutes’ measuring
None of this is anyone’s fault. The facts live up a ladder.

One roof, known

Measured from the sky
Condition, understood
Priceable before anyone climbs
the job, defined
The homeowner
3 $18,400 ≈ $30k “I’ll text ya”
seven calls, three call-backs, one no-show
three quotes, none for the same thing
Not because anyone’s lying. Each roofer worked out his own version of the job — at the end, as part of selling it. Nobody worked it out at the start, for the person buying it.

One clear decision
Your roof, one true picture
Prices for the same job
The right roofers, matched

The roofer
the surveyor the marketer the estimator the admin the chaser the roofing
The market asks a roofer to be — the surveyor, the marketer, the estimator, the admin, the chaser — and pays him for the roofing.
The craft was never the problem.

We ask one thing.
Work arrives defined
“I want that job — here’s my price.”
Evenings, returned
back on the roof
The quiet part

The job was never missing skill.
It was missing a fact — one version of the work everyone could stand on.

Every trade that got one became a market.
Grain did. Insurance did. Roofing never did — its facts lived up a ladder, in heads, in memory.

One thing changed.
The roof became data.

Every plane, pitch, edge and metre — seen from the sky.

as it is as data

Same roof. No ladder.

Markets form around shared facts.
We don’t build the market. We make the fact.

How we hold it

Every job has to end well four ways — homeowner, roofer, supplier, us. So:

01
a few right roofers per job, never a feeding frenzy.
02
Prices compared, never auctioned to the bottom.
03
The site visit isn’t removed — it’s moved to the end, where it counts.

Rules like these are the product.

Where this is happening

A note from the founder

Eighteen months ago I knew nothing about roofing. I backed a marketplace with my own money; the market corrected me, and I followed the correction here.

What’s on this page is what I know, not what I think — learned on driveways, on the phone, and occasionally on a roof.

If some part of this is your world, I’d like to hear from you.
